    5 summer tips

    Smart sailing in peak season

Book 3-6 weeks ahead to secure your preferred dates, especially 14 July and 15 August
Leave at 9am sharp: Pampelonne anchorages are full from 11:30am
Lunch at 1:30pm (beach club peak is 12:30-1pm) or 3pm (calm guaranteed)
Choose Cap Taillat or L'Escalet rather than Pampelonne on weekends
Drink lots of water on board: dehydration is common, hits harder at sea than ashore

    FAQ summer

How far ahead to book for summer?

For July-August, book 3 to 6 weeks before your desired date. Best boats and weekend dates (14 July, 15 August) go 2 months ahead. Our firm slots open 1 March each year.

What's the water temperature in July-August?

22-24°C in July, peak 25-26°C mid-August. Swimming comfortable without wetsuit. Careful with sunburn: UV index max between 12pm and 4pm — SPF 50 cream and cap recommended.

Are there more boats on the Gulf in August?

Yes, 2,000+ boats per day between Saint-Tropez and Cannes at peak. Consequence: saturated anchorages at Pampelonne from 11am, rare port slots, VHF non-stop. Our skippers know confidential alternatives to avoid crowds.

Are all restaurants open in summer?

Yes, all beach clubs and port restaurants run at full capacity from mid-June to end September. Mandatory booking 48-72h ahead for Club 55, Bagatelle, La Vague d'Or. We handle reservations for free if requested 48h before departure.
