    Factors

    What affects the price?

Several factors influence the final cost of your boat rental. Here is what to consider.

    Boat size and type

A 6-metre RIB costs significantly less than a 13-metre day cruiser. Larger boats offer more comfort but come at a higher price point.

    Duration

Half-day rentals (4 hours) are typically 60–70% of the full-day price. Multi-day rentals can offer better daily rates.

    Season

Peak season (July–August) commands the highest prices. June and September offer the same weather with lower rates and fewer crowds.

    Skipper

Adding a professional skipper costs around 200 EUR/day. Required if you do not hold a boat licence — and recommended for the best experience.

    Delivery

Boats depart from Sainte-Maxime port. Delivery to Saint-Tropez, Port Grimaud, or other locations may incur an additional fee.

    Duration

    Half-day vs full-day

Not sure how long you need? Here is a quick comparison to help you choose.

    Half-day (4 hours)

Morning (9 h – 13 h) or afternoon (14 h – 18 h). Enough time to swim in 2–3 coves, stop for lunch at a beach restaurant, and enjoy the coastline.

    60–70% of the full-day rate

    Full day (8 hours)

Typically 9 h – 17 h. Explore the entire Gulf of Saint-Tropez, visit Pampelonne, swim off the Esterel coast, and take your time at every stop.

    Tips

Tips to get the best price

Smart choices that save you money without compromising the experience.

    Book early

The most popular boats sell out weeks in advance during summer. Booking in spring guarantees availability and sometimes early-bird pricing.

    Choose shoulder season

June and September offer warm seas, sunny skies, and significantly lower prices than July–August. Less crowded beaches too.

    Try a half-day

A half-day rental (morning or afternoon) lets you explore the coast at a lower cost. Perfect if you arrive or depart mid-day.

    Split the cost

Renting a boat for 8–12 people often works out cheaper per person than most organised excursions. Great value for groups.
