Recommended boats and spots
For photo, prefer a boat with wide uncluttered front deck (flat sun pads), few visible antennas and equipment, light hull colour (white or cream — photographs better than black). For shoots requiring precise art direction, we recommend scouting 24-48h before (1-2h on water, €200 rate). Your AD identifies angles, day's light, ideal anchorages — the shoot runs without time loss.
Logistics: gear, image rights, insurance
The boat takes up to 300 kg of photo/video gear (tripods, reflectors, cases, drone). 220V socket on Lady L, La Vie Est Belle and San Lorenzo SX 76. Drones are allowed at sea when flown over 150m from the shoreline, subject to French civil aviation rules (the equivalent of CAA/FAA for France).
Image rights: any commercial shoot requires a service contract with us (free template provided). The boat is your backdrop — you can show it. Daily Boat Rental logo appears nowhere (neutral hull). If using our brand in communication, prior written agreement needed.
Insurance: we're fully insured. If your production needs specific liability insurance (some broadcasters require it), at your charge. We provide boat insurance proof on request.
Pricing and booking
Half-day shoot (4h, 1 team of 3-5 + gear): €550-750 boat + €100 half-day skipper = €650-850. Full day: €900-1,500 boat + €200 skipper = €1,100-1,700. Premium yacht (SanLorenzo SX 76): €2,800/day + skipper + €150 prep = €3,150/day.
Options: scouting €200, onboard assistant (gear handler) €150/day, DJ for UGC €500, model catering €35/person. Booking advised 2 weeks ahead for high season. For custom projects (series of 5-10 shoots for example), contact us for annual agreement.

Can we use the boat as commercial backdrop?
Yes. Service contract signed with us, shoot under your artistic and legal responsibility. You retain your image rights. The boat appears neutral (no logo, no visible name). If you want to integrate our name in your communication, negotiable — may lower the rate.
Can the boat stay still for a long take?
At anchor yes (anchor dropped, engine off). At sea, no — any boat drifts with current and wind. For a fixed offshore shot, we add a second floating anchor. In video, post-production stabilisation compensates residual movement.
Can we rent for a multi-day shoot?
Yes. 15% discount from 3 consecutive days. Gear storage on board allowed (secure locker). Dedicated skipper for the period for continuity. A "week shoot" project = €3,500-5,500 per boat + skipper.
